Perfect Pant in Black Linen

I truly do like these pants but I found the sizing on them to be bonkers. Measurement-wise, I am a size large but, since I currently into wearing my pants a little oversized for that oh-so-chic "old Italian man look", I sized up to the XLs.

The XLs were surprisingly tight through the hips, butt, and thigh region, causing the pleats to become all out of whack. I know linen has a lot of give but the linen used for these pants is surprisingly light/borderline see-through.

I switched out for the XXLs which had a better fit in that they started out with more room and give. They have since loosened up and are too large in the waist. At least the loops are wide and allow for a variety of belts?

TLDR- I like the cut of the pants and the fabric is good for warmer days. The higher cut at the small of the back is divine as are the elastic gussets on the side. However, I'm usually a size 10/12 in pants and ended up in a size XXL to get these to fit the way they do in the majority of the photos.

Love love love these pants. Fit perfectly - which is hard to find. Usually high waisted is too tight around the waist and ankles, too long, or too baggy in weird areas. Not these ones! Super complimentary, and super comfy. I’m 5’1” and 115 lbs with athletic frame and got a size S
