Needles Eye X Field Day 

Organic Cotton Slinky Dresses

 I made the silly mistake of forgetting to shoot the Slinky dresses on everyone in the field.  I was feeling like a goof and bummed because I wanted to show how they fit on so many different bodies.  
 Then Erika (one of the models) was hanging after the shoot with Emily & I and offered for her and her sister to shoot them, with me around her house in Asheville.  Latter that day an internet crush told me they were in town and wanted to model as well!  Turned into another amazing day playing dress up and seeing the creations come to life with the sweetest and most creative babes.  I shot these on my iphone :)
  These dresses stretch A LOT and will fit up to a size 16.  We are working on making larger sizes. A bag of these dresses resurfaced after many, many years and I was so excited to dye and print them with my dear friend Sonia Norris of Needles Eye.  We used Indigo & marigolds from her garden for the dye and Sonia's hand carved block prints. 
These dresses hug every curve and the lighter in colors ones are not as opaque as the ones with more color.  They are all entirely & completely one of a kind!  The last one I gifted to my friend Lisa and is not going to be in this release but I wanted to include the beautiful photos of her in her garden with her Waylon dog.   
 
I love collaborating with other creatives and femmes.  Hope you can feel the glee radiating from these photos and hope that joy spreads to all that wear & admire them.
