Summer Dress Season Has Arrived

June First Friday with Jamie Corley

Join us at the shop this upcoming First Friday June 7th from 6-9pm as we welcome San Francisco artist Jamie Corley for an opening art reception to kick off her month long show.  We'll be serving wine and enjoying the late setting summer sun with a show of florals and figures.

Jonah Emerson Bell from Blind Stallion Space Wizard will also be joining us from 6-9pm for personal drop in tarot readings.  Do yourself a favor and spend little time digging into the cards with one of our favor mystics visiting from Joshua Tree.

Visit Us at Temescal Street Fair
Oakland's 16th Annual Temescal Street Fair falls on Sunday, June 9th from noon - 6pm.  We'll be at booths #134 & #135 at Telegraph & 50th.  Join us for a day full of warm weather, live music, delicious food, and local artisans along Telegraph between 41st & 51st Streets.  We'll be slinging our tried and true sheet dresses and bringing racks of marked down items at sweet prices as well as our Spring/Summer '19 styles that will get lots of use during hot days ahead.
Nervine Print is Back!
Our beloved Bias dress in Black Nervine is back!  Between the most recent production of the Bias dress (our third batch this year!) and restocking our Wrap dress in Black Nervine, we have used up all the yummy Rayon Challis printed with the nervine design by Meg Adamson. Featured herbal allies in the illustration are California Poppy, Chamomile, Skullcap, Clary Sage, Lemon Balm, Passion Flower, Lavender, and Linden.  Dress medicine made to help keep you cool, calm, and collected.

In order to bring this print back, we would have to print 1,500 yard to meet the print house minimum.  If you would like the nerving print in any particular color or style we would love to have your feedback!
Midsummer
With midsummer approaching comes the longest day of the year.  Rebirth from spring thrives all around us in form of blossoms bursting and the lush greenery brought to us by the rains of previous seasons is seemingly everlasting.  We finally get to delight in the abundance and sweetness of the Sun.  A time to gather at nearby swimming holes with our neighbors and loved ones.

"Summer set lip to earth's bosom bare, and left the flushed print in a poppy there."
~ Francis Thompson
