Holiday Sales | Black Friday Deals

Plaid Friday was first recognized in Oakland, CA and now nationwide as a way to celebrate the creativity and diversity of independent businesses and create a relaxed and enjoyable small business alternative to the mainstream "Black Friday".  A bonus--the money you spend shopping independent businesses is more likely to be reinvested into the community rather instead of trickling out to CEOs, corporations, or large big box stores that compete with local, small businesses.

This Friday, November 23rd we are taking 20% off all Field Day apparel in store and online.  Discount is automatic, so no coupon code necessary.  We are so appreciative of all the  love and support, and we truly couldn't do it without you!
Holiday 2018 Line Release

We'll be releasing a mini line for Holiday on December 1st and we're bringing back the beloved nervine print in a new color.  The F/W'18 collection favorites like the Fiona dress, Xena dress, and Dolman top are soon to be released in Olive Nervine.  Also our Maxi Wrap Skirt will be out in a new Olive Jacquard fabric since our last one that was made from a deadstock fabric has sold almost completely through.  We are excited to share this holiday collection with you, so stay tuned for more sneak peaks!
December First Friday Art Reception
Join us this First Friday, December 7th from 6-9pm for our art reception with Anoushka Mirchandani.  We'll be serving wine, observing compelling artwork, and fostering community with our neighbors.
Anoushka is an
emerging artist inspired by the female form. Her oil and watercolor paintings present expressive, nude female figures stripped down to minimal lines and washes of color and challenge patriarchal norms and public perception, by reclaiming their bodies, and demanding to be seen without sexualization, without shame, and without fear.

Restocked of Fall/Winter '18 Favorites
We sold though a few styles from our latest collection that were put into production again and are now back in stock: our Fiona dress in Black Jacquard and Black Floral Crepe, our Maxi Wrap skirt in Black, and our Dolman top in Black.  We have also restocked our Cropped Hoodie in Charcoal and Black, as well as expanded our sizing to XXL in those color ways.
Leaning into Gratitutde
Trying times are upon us, both environmentally and politically.  The Bay Area has been immersed into a cloud of smoke for the last few weeks making our lungs burn and eyes water, and far more devastation has shaken communities in the direct line of the Camp Fire.  As we approach Thanksgiving, we are reminded that this holiday was founded on theft and exploitation of land and genocide of Indigenous communities, and that this phenomenon is ongoing.
Self care is of utmost importance in such despair.  We surround ourselves with community and family, both by blood and those chosen, rejoicing in gratitude for those who ground, nourish, and sustain us.  Breaking bread with our neighbors, and holding the migrant caravans closely as they approach our southern border.  Remembering that unless our ancestors are native to this land, we are descendent from immigrants in search of a more promising life.
“It is our fundamental belief in the power of hope that has allowed us to rise above the voices of doubt and division, of anger and fear that we have faced in our own lives and in the life of this country. Our hope that if we work hard enough and believe in ourselves, then we can be whatever we dream, regardless of the limitations that others may place on us.”
